I just downloaded Yeager and saw it’s shutting down at the end of next month. Are there any other good Monster Hunter-style games out there? I like MHNow, but I can’t exactly walk around and hunt while sitting at my desk at work.
Honestly, I don’t think there’s much. Maybe the raid mode in ‘Abyss,’ but it’s not really like Monster Hunter.
There are some upcoming games like ‘Monster Hunter Outlanders’ or ‘Mo.Co,’ but right now, your best bet is probably emulation.
‘Freedom Unite,’ ‘Toukiden,’ and ‘God Eater’ on PSP are solid options.

Toukiden (especially the second one) and God Eater are great if you want that Monster Hunter feel.
Just emulate the PSP and PS2 games.
Monster Hunter Outlanders is coming soon, but right now? Nothing really.
Starstride isn’t on Google Play yet because it’s still in limited testing.
I get what you’re saying. I like MHNow too, but it’s tough when you’re stuck indoors, especially when the weather sucks.

Have you thought about emulation?
There was ‘Time to Hunt,’ but the global version never got released.
With Monster Hunter Mobile in development, I doubt we’ll see another one anytime soon.
I had a blast playing Monster Hunter Portable 3rd back in the day with the English patch.
Emulate Freedom Unite with the patch and join Huntersverse for multiplayer.
Wish they’d just make Yeager a one-time purchase game instead of shutting it down, but I doubt it. They’d rather throw all that work away than make a solid offline version.
As for Monster Hunter-style games on mobile? There probably won’t ever be a good one that isn’t dumbed down for touch controls or packed with microtransactions.
If you really want a good experience, just grab a Steam Deck and forget about mobile games.
Still mad that Capcom took down the official Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite mobile port. That version was amazing.
