Is One UI 7 really adding better features between Galaxy phones and Galaxy Books?

Samsung is rolling out more features to connect Galaxy phones and Galaxy Books. Have you tried these features yet? What do you think about them?

This is good news for the few people who actually have a Galaxy Book.

I’ve honestly never seen anyone using a Galaxy Book in public.

Some Samsung services are available in the Microsoft Store, so people without Galaxy Books can still use a few of them.

@Oakley
But Samsung Notes, one of the best apps, is still only for Galaxy Book owners.

If you do some searching on GitHub, you can find a way to make it work on other devices. It’s a simple script that tricks the app into thinking your device is a Galaxy Book.

@Kirby
Thanks, I’ll try that. I used to have a modified app for it, but I’ve misplaced it.

@Kirby
Another option is to use an old installer from XDA. Once the app is installed, it’ll update through the store.

@Kirby
I’ve used that method. It changes your registry so the app thinks you’re on a Galaxy Book.

Don’t forget Samsung Pass is also restricted this way.

@Oakley
When I was on Windows, I noticed many Samsung apps wouldn’t run properly on non-Samsung devices. If you’re using Android, give KDE Connect a try—it works on Windows and macOS, too.

Features like Camera Share and Storage Share are already in Link to Windows, so this might just make them feel more seamless.

I want to buy a Galaxy Book, but they don’t sell them in my region. It would be great if Samsung lifted these restrictions so we could get the same continuity on other devices.

Does this work with the Galaxy Fold 6 and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra?

You should already have some of these features, like continuing apps on other devices.

I don’t have a Galaxy Book, but I’m excited about new phone and tablet features.

What’s a Galaxy Book?

Does Google offer something similar for Android and Chromebooks?
