Kiwi Browser is officially being discontinued, with support ending in January 2025. Here’s the official announcement from their Discord:
Kiwi Browser will no longer be maintained.
The code for its extension support is now part of Microsoft Edge Canary.
If you want to install extensions on Edge Canary:
Open Microsoft Edge Canary.
Go to Settings > About Microsoft Edge.
Tap the Edge build number 5 times to enable Developer Options.
Use ‘Extension install by ID’ in Developer Options.
To find the extension ID:
Visit the Microsoft Edge Web Store.
Select the extension you want.
Copy the ID from the URL.
For those still using Kiwi Browser, you can download its last version here. But it’s a good idea to move to other browsers like Microsoft Edge Canary, Vivaldi, or Firefox for better security and support.
Did people really think one person could keep a browser like Kiwi running long-term, especially with extensions? Honestly, its code being used in Microsoft Edge makes sense. This is like when a startup gets acquired by a bigger company.
Kiwi was the only browser that worked with the bypass paywall clean extension. Firefox doesn’t allow it unless it’s in their addon store, and Mozilla removed it. I’m guessing Edge will require the same.
Edit: Just saw Edge has an ‘install by crx’ option. That’s a relief.

Try Fennec. It’s a Firefox-based browser, and I use bypass paywall on it.
I’ll check it out. Last time I used Firefox on mobile, it didn’t perform well—scrolling pages with lots of images was super laggy. That was a while ago, though, so maybe it’s better now.
