I plan on getting a new phone soon, I kinda like the way pixels look and want to try something new but I don’t think the Samsung file transfer works with Google phones so that’s my biggest obstacle. I’m currently using a Samsung, so the s24 would be easier to set up (unless Google supports Samsung file transfers)
FYI, I use my phone mainly for texting, watching yt, and taking very bad photos. Also, there are a bit of angry birds and other non hard to run games if I’m not home.
I can’t speak for the Pixel 9 as i haven’t owned one. I do know the cameras on the Pixel 9 are brilliant, but the performance is sub-par in counter to its other flagship rivals.
I have owned an S24+ and now own an S24 Ultra. I returned the S24+ because I didn’t like the cameras on it. The S24 Ultra was much better. Also, the added benefit of getting the SD8 Gen 3 over the Exynos 2400. Not that Exynos 2400 was bad, but the SD8 is slightly better and gains a small OC being a qaulcomm colab.
Any S24 is great. it just depends on the extras you want.
I owned S21 and now I have Pixel 8, and from personal experience I would advise to go with Samsung. Better performance, more equal feature set regardless of your location (some Google pixel AI features are US/UK only), you get 3rd camera with Samsung as well. “Stock android” experience with Google is bullshit and it’s far from “stock” what type of “stock” system doesn’t allow you to move or remove Google search toolbar at the bottom of screen or their “at glance” feature. One UI is much more customizable and flexible. S24 is lighter phone which I also prefer. Camera wise , yes pixel is better, but for casual photography user, differences are not that big.
Every Pixel 9, 9 Pro, and 9 Pro XL features a rounded rectangular design similar to the Galaxy S24 and S24+. The Galaxy S24 Ultra breaks from the pack with a more boxy look. Both sets of devices feature large screens with minimal bezels on the front, but the rear designs are vastly different. The Pixel 9 has a large pill-shaped camera bump that traverses much of the rear width. Samsung opts for a triple rear camera stack on the S24 with the three lenses lined up vertically in the top left
Samsung’s S series always offers best and latest tech in the industry, be it hardware or software. With a dynamic AMOLED display, top-notch cameras, and impressive AI capabilities, the Galaxy S24 is a strong competitor.
