I’m looking for gaming phones under $1000 that can run high-graphics games smoothly. Any recommendations?
You should check out Red Magic phones and tablets. They’re pretty solid for gaming.
Redmagic 8 or 9 would be my pick. They don’t have SD card slots, but they’re amazing for running Switch and Windows emulators.
The latest Redmagic phone is a great choice. If you want something without too many compromises, try the iQOO 13. It’s just as powerful, has good cooling, and great cameras.
I have the OnePlus 12R, and it runs any game at the highest settings without issues.
Most high-end phones these days can handle that. But if you’re after a phone specifically for gaming, check out ROG or Nubia models.
Any recent models from Chinese brands will do the trick. Just use a universal debloater to clean up the software, and you’re all set.
The Red Magic 10 is a beast. It has the SD 8 Elite chip, liquid fan cooling, gaming triggers, and great gaming software.

Do you know if the Red Magic 10 works in the US with Verizon SIM? I’ve tried looking it up, but I’m not sure how band compatibility works.
I’d recommend the OnePlus 13.
Have you considered Retroid Pocket 5 or Ayn Odin 2 (Mini and Portal)? They’re pretty good alternatives.

I agree. The RP5 is just $220 and comes with an OLED screen. Unless you specifically need a phone, it’s a much cheaper and better option.
