Anyone else noticed this on Android 15 with 3rd party launchers?

I just updated my Moto Edge 50 Neo to Android 15 and installed Nova Launcher. It looks like 3rd party launchers are finally working properly on this phone!

Here’s the issue I had before: On Android 14 (and earlier), when I swiped up to go back to the home screen from an app, I had to wait for a second before I could interact with anything on the home screen. If I didn’t wait, the screen would either flash, go blank, or just not respond properly.

Now on Android 15, I can swipe up to go home and immediately tap on any app without waiting. The animations are smooth and feel much more natural. It’s a big improvement!

I might make a video comparing my Moto Edge 50 Neo running Android 15 with my HTC U24 Pro still on Android 14 to show the difference. Anyone else experiencing this improvement?

Did the Neo really get Android 15? Which country are you in?

That’s cool! I was working fine with Android 14 on my Pixel 8, but after updating to Android 15, it’s been a mess. :frowning:

Have you tried other launchers like Niagara, Smart Launcher, or Action Launcher?

@Olin
Yeah, I’ve tried all of them. Unfortunately, it’s a known issue with Android 15. It started with the QPR1 beta update.

That sucks. My phone isn’t getting any updates past Android 15, and I was hoping they’d fix stuff instead of adding more bugs.

That’s good to hear. Can anyone using Realme, OnePlus, or Oppo phones with Android 15 confirm if this is working for them too?

I can confirm it works on Nothing OS 3, but sometimes the launcher still freezes up.
