This tiny symbol essentially breaks the landscape keyboard, which occupies half of the screen. Currently, this icon is not available on older Android devices. I am hoping someone can get rid of this garbage.

The full screen indicator is activated, which explains why. Not the keyboard, that is. beneath the keyboard, the white bar. Therefore, if your device has such option, disable it.

turned off the full screen indicator, but the floating keyboard still shows up. Is it possible to remove the backdrop of that bar and only keep the white bar? I kind of like the way it looks, but the amount of room it took up really destroyed me.

Yes, floating will also contribute to it. That is just the way things are.

This only appears whether I turn on the one-handed keyboard or turn on the floating keyboard. This disappears as soon as the standard keyboard is used.
