How To Block Popping Ads

Just this morning, when using my phone, I experienced a lot of popping adverts. I have just had three while typing this, and it is already driving me crazy. As a result, I am calling for urgent assistance right now. I am not using an app and I am just using Chrome to browse an offline page, but it keeps coming up, having had this phone for six years, I am confident that I have changed something in my Chrome site settings or something else. I have never had this problem previously. I would be extremely grateful if someone could walk me through each step of their recommendations. It will be really appreciated by me.

Hello guys :innocent: ok if it is more than just a notification, you could search for and uninstall a program with an almost empty name and icon in settings → applications or something similar. Certain programs use an empty name and icon to open advertisements in order to avoid being detected. Installing every app that was installed before to the reset is not the best course of action if a factory reset is necessary, since this would essentially make the problem worse.

Gosh, I regret it, after implementing your initial recommendation, I discovered an app with an empty name and icon on my installed tab. Because I do not often put apps on my phone because of storage issues, I would be able to recall if I had. How does something like this occur, you have saved a life. Many thanks for that, it is so emotional :face_holding_back_tears: :face_holding_back_tears:

Which mobile device are you using  when that advertisement appears, click on it. Then, press recent to check which app is causing it to appear, or press recent when it does. Additionally, you can disable apps that do not actually need that permission by going to Settings, Screen Overlay Permission, and Apps.
