Is the Android operating system getting too big

I own a Samsung Galaxy 9+ that was released a few years ago. At 61.9 GB out of 64 GB used on the internal SD card, it is reaching its storage limits.

No huge thing, I suppose. I will just go organize a few things, is that right? It turns out that I have 8.3 GB of programs, 1.4 GB of films, 5.48 MB of audio, 18.5 MB of documents, and 452 MB of photos.

That implies that the operating system is utilizing more than 50 GB while I am using less than 11 GB of my phone’s SD card!? That feels like an excessive amount. Did Samsung or Android merely keep increasing the operating system’s size over time?

I have the exact same emotions. My phone’s 128GB are almost full at 91GB, I just realized. Naturally, this is because the operating size is not really 128. As I i have never owned a phone that could not accommodate an SD card, this was a little more than I imagined I would need. However, as of yesterday, all 20 GB were made up of pictures and movies. What on earth are the remaining 70GB then.

Yes, exactly. My phone has an internal storage of 128GB, and although though the majority of my photos, music, and movies only take up slightly more than 11GB, my phone is currently 70% filled. What the heck, Not that I have a lot of extra programs, and most of them are older versions (newer versions of apps tend to be slightly larger than older versions. I believe the majority of it is uninstall able bloatware. A class action lawsuit for deceptive advertising, in my opinion, ought to be filed against businesses that install bloatware that cannot be removed. I expect to be able to utilize 128GB for my own material and apps that I install on my own phone, if I purchase a 128GB model.

I believe I may have solved part of the puzzle. Upon accessing the advanced storage, I discovered that Google Chrome occupied 4 GB on its own. Upon visiting the downloaded website, I discovered that the data was contained in a thread. I discovered many websites with vast amounts of info. Even a website with over a GB of data that I believe I may have only visited once or twice, if at all. Taking care of some of that ought to assist.

Do other browsers keep as much data as Chrome does?
