Seconds - It’s a simple workout timer that keeps me on track during my workouts. Super effective!
Peak Finder - Helps identify mountains and hills around me. It’s perfect for hikes or just satisfying curiosity.
Props to the people giving actual descriptions of their app suggestions.
Obtainium - Great app for sideloading open-source APKs.
Seal - A yt-dlp-based app for downloading videos from YouTube and many other platforms. It supports custom commands for power users.
Tunity - Lets you listen to any muted TV through your phone. Great for gyms or sports bars.
Todoist - Best task management app I’ve found this year.
Folder Widget - Loved it so much I upgraded to the paid version.
Wavelet - Audio equalizer for headphones. Makes a huge difference in sound quality.
Mobilism - A handy app for finding eBooks and apps.
Vanced - Still the best YouTube alternative for me.
Here’s my list:
- NewPipe: Lightweight YouTube alternative.
- Spotube: Spotify client.
- Keepa: Price tracker for Amazon.
- Pocket Casts: Best podcast app.
- Copilot: AI writing tool.
Balatro - It’s a card game with a twist. Takes some time to appreciate its mechanics.

Not sure I get it. It just seems like a basic card game?
TikTok - Gave in and tried it. Honestly, it’s fun, and let’s face it, none of us have privacy anyway. Big tech is just as invasive as any other company.
